Chickasaw Visitor Center

The Visitor Center is the gateway to the Chickasaw National Recreation Area and the Chickasaw Cultural Center. Discover the natural beauty, history and hospitality of Chickasaw country. The split-level building is constructed of native stone, glass and copper and designed to tell the story of the Chickasaw Nation by utilizing interactive kiosks, a media room, multi-purpose gallery, well as both permanent and rotating exhibits of art and photography by Native American artists. It also serves as an information hub for many attractions in the area.

Handmade Native American art and crafts and clothing can be purchased in the gift shop. You can have free coffee and take a rest on the patio out in the clean fresh air. Leave your car at the center and take advantage of the bike-share program to explore the area.

Licenses required by the state of Oklahoma for recreational hunting and fishing can be purchased at the center seven days a week from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
